Today we learned that I earned second place in the Young Horse Development Project! I received a $1,500 scholarship and a new pair of Justin boots. There are so many people that supported me this year and I can't thank them enough.
But most of all I can't thank my parents and Jim & Joni Hunt enough for their support and this amazing opportunity. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would receive one weanling let alone TWO! I'm really excited about what the future holds for me and Dakota and Faith. I have a lot of goals to accomplish and dreams to realize and can't wait to start riding them next spring. I'm also really excited about riding Bubba in ranch horse pleasure and competing in more AQHA shows. I want to add boxing and breakaway roping to our class list with him and to continue to ride Dunny in the barrels, poles and stakes.
I'm going to keep up this blog to chronicle my journey. I hope you'll keep checking back to see what we're up to!
