Victoria Solano ~ "Dunny"
1990 Red Dun Mare
Sire: Shutdown Sam (Wonder Seeker x Miss Peppy Otoe) Dam: Sippi Solano (Doc's Solano x Sippi Steel) Double Registered with the American Buckskin Registry Association Dunny came from Canada and started out as a reining horse, but she wasn't quite right for the job. My dad found her right before she was to be exported to Germany. He and my mom ran Dunny at Quarter Horse shows, NBHA jackpots and open jackpots. I started to show Dunny when I started showing in 4-H. I showed her in ranch horse pleasure and three years ago I began to compete on her in barrel racing and pole bending. In 2013 I showed her in ranch horse pleasure, barrels, poles and stake race at Quarter Horse shows. In 2014 I won't be showing her in ranch horse pleasure and I hope to be part of Team Iowa with her in barrels, poles and stakes at the AQHYA World Show. Although she's older, she's in really good shape and we take great care in making sure she stays sound and able to perform. She is a lot of fun to ride down the road and in pastures, she really moves out.

Just Time to Fiddle ~ "Bubba"
1994 Chestnut Gelding
Sire: Topsail Fiddle (Topsail Cody x Senorita Fiddle) Dam: Bar Time Brandy (Scotch Bar Time x Peppersnow Hancock) Bubba has quite the personality! Every spring he bucks at the beginning of the first few rides. Even if you ride him every day in the hottest part of the summer if he has a few days off he'll buck again. He's a lot of fun to ride, but also really hard to ride because he's really sensitive. I can't even talk when I'm on him or he thinks it's time to stop. In 4-H shows I show Bubba in the trail and mounted roping classes. I will be riding Bubba in the ranch horse pleasure classes at AQHA shows and I hope to add boxing and breakaway roping to our class list in 2014. Bubba is also a lot of fun to ride down the road and in the pastures, especially if cattle are involved.

Mouse
A 14-year old grade pony mare, Mouse is a showmanship and timed event powerhouse. Unfortunately I outgrew her before we had a chance to really excel at the barrels and poles (my mom now rides her) but I still show her in showmanship at open and 4-H shows. In 2012 I won my age division in the pony showmanship at the State Fair. We also won the pony pleasure one year at the county fair and have competed in trail and goat tying.
